Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC) Battery Terminal
Verification Results of the “Combined Cycle Test” Based on Our In-House Standards
Overview

The conventional tin-plated oxygen-free copper (OFC) battery terminals and the improved Ionis Coat/SK terminals, as well as the base materials, were subjected to complex environmental loads to evaluate the resulting changes and degree of corrosion.

[Test Results]

Red rust appeared on the bolts and nuts, which spread to the terminal body.
[Test Results]Excellent Corrosion Resistance

The entire surface shows a white discoloration, but no red rust was observed on the bolts and nuts, and no corrosion was observed on the terminal body. (The white substance is salt residue from salt spray testing.)
