Hero Electric celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2018.Since our founding in 1968, we have established ourselves as a specialized manufacturer of automotive repair parts for professional use.Over the past half-century, the traditions we have cultivated and our unique technological expertise have become our core strengths, serving as the driving force behind our creation of new added value.
We remain steadfast in upholding the unwavering spirit that has defined us since our founding: the relentless pursuit of worksite efficiency and uncompromising commitment to quality that meets the demands of professional use. Hero Electric: Key Milestones Over 50 Years

1966 | Company founded in Sotokanda 5-chome, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.Began handling crimp terminals and various types of connectors. | ||||||||
1967 | Opened a production site in Hiroo, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.Established a wire harness division. | ||||||||
1968 | Incorporated as Hero Electric Co., Ltd. | ||||||||
1969 | Hero Electric made a full-scale entry into the automotive aftermarket, launching the crimping tool specifically designed for automotive repair applications (model “B-14”), along with expanded promotion of crimp terminals, including Bullet terminals.

1970 | Relocated headquarters to Higashi 3-chome, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. | ||||||||
1972 | Hero Electric developed and launched the DCS/DCF series of original crimp-type battery terminals, as well as the D-860 crimp/compression tool for bare terminals.

The 1980s | |||||||||
1980 | Acquired industrial land in Kawayanagi, Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture. Relocated the press processing and wire harness divisions to establish the Kawayanagi Factory.
Developed and launched the Hero-original crimping tool “D-822”.

1985 | Acquired the first-phase factory relocation site in the Mashimori District of Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture, which was jointly developed by the Pollution Control Corporation (now the Environmental Restoration and Conservation Agency of Japan) and the City of Koshigaya. | ||||||||
1988 |
Construction of the Masumori Factory (now serving as the Headquarters Factory) was completed.
Hero Electric developed and launched a series of original oxygen-free copper (OFC) battery terminals, including the DCPL60-1, DOPL-1S, and DTPL-1S models.

1990 | Developed and launched the FRC-100, a crimping tool compatible with waterproof crimp terminals.

1993 | Developed and launched the Hero Electric original terminal pin removal tool “FR-150”.

Relocated the head office from Higashi 3-chome, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, to Mashimori, Koshigaya City, Saitama Prefecture, aiming to unify production and sales operations.
Developed and launched the Hero Electric original handy crimper “D-19i”. |

2001 | Developed and launched the Hero Electric original Oxygen-Free Copper (OFC) Battery Terminal (Conversion Type) series “DXL / DXS”.

2002 | Developed and launched the Hero Electric Original Handy Crimper “D-20i”.

2008 | Developed and launched Hero Electric the original crimping tool “FRH-07”.

The 2010s | |||||||||
2015 | Hero Electric reissued and renewed its original catalog “Parts Sample”, a sample board used to present internal components.
As part of our CSV (Creating Shared Value) initiatives, Hero Electric conducted educational outreach through events at automotive technical schools, providing instruction on proper crimping techniques using our original bullet terminals (B-1) and the FRH-07 crimping tool. (Activities continued until May 2023)
