Hero Electric’s Initiatives for the SDGs

The SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) are a set of global goals adopted at the United Nations Summit held at UN Headquarters in 2015, to be pursued from 2016 to 2030.Comprising 17 goals and 169 targets, the SDGs aim to create a sustainable world and pledge to "leave no one behind."

At Hero Electric, we are actively pursuing a range of initiatives aimed at achieving the goals of the SDGs and contributing to the creation of a sustainable society.

Fostering a corporate culture that empowers employees and gives meaning to their work
We prioritize the safety and health of all employees and promote diversity management that enables each individual to maximize their abilities.This includes encouraging male employees to take childcare leave, increasing the number of women in managerial positions, and establishing regulations for telework and shortened working hours in our employment rules.




Promoting Environmental Impact Reduction through Business Activities
We are committed to reducing environmental impact across all areas of our business.Efforts include adopting products compliant with the RoHS 2 Directive, reducing shipping costs, transitioning our company vehicles to hybrid models, and promoting paperless operations through the use of cloud-based groupware—contributing to a more sustainable society.





Establishing a strong compliance system that ensures ethical and legal integrity across all operations
We are strengthening our compliance systems for the management of personal information and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.In addition, we are revising our employment regulations to incorporate clear policies, training programs, and consultation mechanisms aimed at preventing harassment.Through these efforts, we strive to be a company that earns the trust of all stakeholders, including members of the local community.



Promoting Disaster Risk Reduction Based on Our Business Continuity Enhancement Plan
Hero Electric has been officially certified for its Business Continuity Enhancement Plan by the Kanto Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry under Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.We are working to strengthen our resilience and adaptability in the face of climate-related and natural disasters.In the event of severe or large-scale unforeseen disasters, we will act in accordance with our certified plan to minimize operational disruptions and achieve swift recovery, while fulfilling our social responsibilities to stakeholders and the local community.


On March 9, 2023, Hero Electric was officially registered as a partner in the “Koshigaya SDGs Partner Program” promoted by the Environmental Policy Division of Koshigaya City Hall.


We support the vision of the SDGs and, based on our corporate philosophy, are committed to solving a wide range of societal issues through our business activities to achieve a sustainable society.

Hero Electric underwent the renewal review process of Saitama Prefecture’s “Certified Company for Diverse Workstyles” program, led by the Workstyle Promotion Division of the Department of Industry and Labor.We were awarded the highest "Platinum" certification on October 1, 2024.


This program officially certifies companies that proactively implement workstyle reform measures—such as telework, hourly paid leave, and male childcare leave—to support work-life balance.
Hero Electric strives to create a workplace where all employees can work with peace of mind and a sense of purpose, in alignment with their life stages and personal values.We will continue to actively promote diverse workstyles and foster an environment where everyone can fully realize their potential.

On June 25, 2024, Hero Electric received official certification for its Business Continuity Enhancement Plan from the Kanto Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry under Article 56, Paragraph 1 of the Act on the Enhancement of Core Business Capabilities of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises.This certification is based on our pre-established guidelines for disaster prevention and mitigation, which we have developed as part of our proactive approach to future resilience.


Following our certification on June 25, 2024, Hero Electric will further strengthen its disaster preparedness and mitigation efforts to enhance business continuity.In the event of major or unforeseen disasters, we will act based on our Business Continuity Enhancement Plan to minimize operational disruptions and swiftly recover, fulfilling our responsibility to stakeholders—including clients, shareholders, employees and their families—as well as to the local community, especially in Koshigaya City.

What is the Business Continuity Enhancement Plan?
This certification program, administered by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, formally recognizes disaster prevention and mitigation plans developed in advance by small and medium-sized enterprises as “Business Continuity Enhancement Plans.”
